SHADOWS OF THE FATHERS LAUNCH CELEBRATION & INDIE AUTHOR SCHOLARSHIP

OFFICIAL RULES, TERMS, AND CONDITIONS

  1. SPONSOR: The Shadows of the Fathers Launch Celebration and Crowley Clark Indie Author Scholarship (the "Contest" and "Sweepstakes") is sponsored and administered by Crowley Clark LLC ("Sponsor").

  2. ELIGIBILITY: The promotions are open to legal residents of the United States, Canada (excluding Quebec), the United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand who have reached the age of majority in their respective jurisdiction of residence at the time of entry. The Crowley Clark Indie Author Scholarship is specifically restricted to self-published, independent, or aspiring authors globally. Void where prohibited by law.

  3. PROMOTION PERIOD: Entries will be accepted starting at 1:00 PM Central Time (CT) on August 28, 2026, and will close completely at 11:59 PM Central Time (CT) on Saturday, October 24, 2026 (the "Entry Deadline").

  4. HOW TO ENTER & ENTRY STACKING POLICY: Entrants must fill out the official tracking form at crowleyclark.com/contest or via the designated Google Form link to submit a valid entry. Entrants must be prepared to provide a screenshot or receipt demonstrating a verified "Proof of Entry” which took place on or before the form submission.

NO PURCHASE NECESSARY TO ENTER OR WIN. A PURCHASE WILL NOT INCREASE YOUR CHANCES OF WINNING.

★ THE MULTI-ENTRY STACKING RULE: Participants are highly encouraged to support the wide retail footprint of this launch. Every unique format purchase and every unique library platform request constitutes one (1) separate, distinct entry into the prize pools. For example, if a participant purchases the Ebook on Apple Books, the Audiobook on Spotify or Audible, the Paperback on Amazon, and submits two separate "Notify Me/Hold" requests across two different public library systems (e.g., Libby and Hoopla), that participant is entitled to submit five (5) separate entries to dramatically increase their chances of winning. Each entry must be submitted as a separate form completion with retained Proof of Entry as described above.

Valid Proof of Entry consists exclusively of one of the following methods:

(Method A - Commercial Purchase): A screenshot of a unique retail pre-order receipt or confirmation email showing the purchase of any digital Ebook, physical Paperback, or Audiobook format of 'Shadows of the Fathers' by Crowley Clark from an authorized retailer (including Amazon, Apple Books, Rakuten Kobo, Barnes & Noble, Spotify, or Bookshop.org).

(Method B - Free Alternative Method of Entry / AMOE): A screenshot confirming a digital book hold, tag, or "Notify Me" request for 'Shadows of the Fathers' by Crowley Clark submitted within a unique public library system application or distinct library branch network (such as Libby or Hoopla). Method B entries are completely free of charge and carry the exact same mathematical weight and entry value as Method A entries.

  1. THE PRIZE POOLS & MILESTONE UNLOCKS: Prizes are distributed across two distinct pools based on milestone sales goals tracked internally via Sponsor dashboards:

★ THE PUBLIC TRANSPARENCY DASHBOARD: To guarantee absolute data integrity, the cumulative growth of pre-orders, library holds, and subsequent scholarship dollar tracking will hosted via a public-facing data tracker at crowleyclark.com/contest. This dashboard will be updated periodically by Crowley Clark LLC, aggregating physical Google Form receipt entries alongside publisher backend metrics.

POOL 1: THE READER SWAG & AUDIO RAFFLES (Sweepstakes / Random Drawing)

  • Baseline: Fifty (50) Audiobook download codes for 'Shadows of the Fathers' (narrated by Eric G. Dove).

  • Bestseller Tier: One (1) Grand Prize "Indie Super Supporter Pack" consisting of a Kindle Paperwhite, Apple AirPods 4 with Active Noise Cancellation, and Apple HomePod Mini, AND a $250 USD book subscription or gift card from the book store of the winner’s choice. $800 USD prize value. $800 cash in USD can be chosen in place of this prize.

  • Selection Method: Winners for Pool 1 will be selected completely at random from all combined valid entries using the certified third-party digital randomizer website Random.org. Odds of winning depend entirely on the total volume of entries received.

POOL 2: THE CROWLEY CLARK INDIE AUTHOR SCHOLARSHIP (Game of Skill)

To enter Pool 2, applicants must toggle "Yes" on the application form and paste an original synopsis of their current fiction or nonfiction book project under 250 words. Multiple entries submitted by a single author under the stacking rule will increase their general raffle odds for Pool 1, but an author needs to submit their book synopsis only once to be fully evaluated for the scholarship.

  • Tier 1 Milestone (goal of 1,000 Total Campaign Entries): Scholarship already unlocked at a flat $1,000 USD cash grant.

  • Tier 2 Milestone (2,500 Total Campaign Entries): Scholarship scales up to a flat $2,500 USD cash grant.

  • Tier 3 Milestone (5,000 Total Campaign Entries): Scholarship explodes into a massive, flat $5,000 USD cash grant.

  • Selection Method (Democratic Peer-Review Voting System): To guarantee absolute transparency and ensure the grant is entirely unrigged, the winner will be determined via a democratic peer-voting system. Following the October 24 closing deadline, all submitted synopses will be stripped of identifying author names and compiled into a secure, private digital ballot. Every verified author who entered a synopsis into the contest will receive access to this ballot to vote on their favorite pitches. Authors are strictly ineligible to vote for their own submissions. The synopsis with the highest total volume of verified peer votes will be declared the Grand Prize Winner.

  1. WINNER NOTIFICATION & DELIVERY: All winners will be verified and notified via the email address provided on their entry form within thirty (30) days following the official October 20, 2026 publication date of 'Shadows of the Fathers'. Cash grants will be distributed securely via direct bank wire transfer, PayPal or Venmo, depending on the winner's verified structural preference and country. If a winner fails to respond to notification within seven (7) business days, an alternative winner will be selected.

  2. PRIVACY & GENERAL TERMS: By entering, you grant Crowley Clark LLC the right to announce your name publicly on social media and newsletters as a contest winner. Your personal data and email address will be safely stored by Crowley Clark LLC and will never be sold or distributed to third-party entities. Sponsor reserves the right to disqualify any entries found using fraudulent, manipulated, or duplicated receipts.

FOR CANADIAN RESIDENTS ONLY: If a Canadian resident is selected as a potential winner for Pool 1 (Sweepstakes / Random Drawing), they will be required to correctly answer a time-limited, mathematical skill-testing question administered by the Sponsor via email without assistance of any kind, mechanical or otherwise, as a mandatory prerequisite to clearing verification and claiming any prize.

INTERNATIONAL FREE ENTRY (METHOD B) APPLICABILITY: Entrants utilizing Method B (Free Alternative Method of Entry via Public Library Networks) are advised that applications such as Libby and Hoopla are fully supported across international public library networks in the UK, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. Screenshots displaying a confirmed hold, tag, or active "Notify Me" profile on these localized library network applications are fully recognized as valid entry tokens globally.
